Covering trailer

Question: My trailer has the little 'gutters' down each side to channel rain and AC condensate. Each corner of the trailer has one of those little 'spouts' that let's the water out of the gutter. How do I deal with those when covering the trailer for the winter? Do I just wrap them in foam and hope the cover doesn't snap them off?

Cut tennis balls and slide it over top of them. It'll tear holes in the covers.

Most cut an x in a tennis ball then slide over spout.
