Damaged 8528 BHSS

I just purchased an 03 Flagstaff fifth wheel that had hit a tree in the upper right hand corner, at the roofline, just above the clear light. The previous owner had repaired the damage just by smearing it with silicone and I'd now like to fix it right. It's going to need some of the damaged area cut out, about the size of a football. I'm also going to need a new corner trim piece to go from the roof down the front nose. Any advice on what to use to make a patch? Thanks in advance.

Pictures would be worth alot in helping you get a solution
I am no body man but I have done my time working with fiberglass on boats.
Make sure you use Epoxy Resin if you do not already know this - The west system pumps make it very easy for the novice person to mix the hardner and resin together.

is it fiberglass with a rubber roof?

if you can get to the inside corner you can make a support piece or a frame so you can shape the fiberglass mat to match the existing surface - you will probably have to lay fiberglass matting down for starters.

hopefully someone with camper repairs jumps in here cause I am jst throwing ideas out to you to possibly give you some sort of an idea on an easy fix

My last camper ha a fiberglass front cap and I poked a hole it it at the same location when DW was supposed to be spotting . It took out the clearance light and put a hole and large crack in the fiberglass. My camper dealer gave me the number of the fiberglass repair guy they used and he fixed it for a couple hundred bucks and did such a good job you would never know it ever happened.
