I took my cable tester and put it on each line in my RV. Here is what I identified to a 2014 25bhss.

White is the satellite connector on the outside

Black is the cable TV connector from the outside

Orange wire with black electrical tape was the antenna

Orange cable was to the connector to uplink on the camping side of the Rv.

So after figuring out what was what, step 1 I powered up the dish with the powerbrick. I also mounted it behind the TV.

I attached the receiver and pointed it toward 101 and started to receive signal.

Next step I will build a jumper system with the Orange cable so I can connect to cable/ antenna and then bypass the power system when I want to use the satellite dish.

Next step, I drilled two holes and built a jumper. I put the jumper on the right using some 90 degree elbows.

I will need to make the hole a bit bigger.

To make everything quicker to setup and take down, I added BNC connectors to everything.

Way to go, FreddieMac!

I'm thankful my trailer was wired such that I didn't have to make all the mods you made.

I bought the Winegard carryout portable antenna and chose the Dish network. Dish is a pay as you go month to month service. I just place the antenna were it can see the sky and it finds the satellites and I have TV.

I went camping this past weekend and could not dial in the TV. When I got home yesterday, I set everything up to try an figure out the problem. I found the source of the problem to be me. I did not realize the tilt on the back was in increments of 2 instead of 1 so, I was set on 74 all weekend when I should have been on 72. Once I figured that out, I was able to dial the transponders into strengths of 90 and 100 at home. Tested the entire system. We are going out to tailgate this weekend, I will see if I can dial it back in. It seems this is a skill that requires a bit of practice, but once you have everything figured out, I was able to setup and dial in a signal in 10 minutes at home.

It is $30 per month for DISH versus $6 per month for Directv under my current contract. To get a tailgater for DISH for HD channels would have been $300 plus.

I was able to pull a used dish off the roof of my sister's house and between switching the LNB, all the cables and TRIPOD, I spent about $125 for my entire setup.

PLUS, the DW does not want to switch to DISH. If I were a DISH customer, I would have just bought a tailgater too.
