Dodge 2500 4wd

Anyone here tow a lite 5er with a dodge? Did they have to raise your camper or lower your truck to make trailer tow level?

I have a 2010 Dodge 2500 gasser and pull a 2013 Sandpiper 32QBBS and it sits level. The pick here is it hooked up after I installed a set of Super Springs which helped a ton with sway and bounce.

I've got a 2001 2500 4WD with the towing package, it's very high for a stock truck, no lowering or raising necessary.

We have a 3500 4x4 and a new (well, it was new when we got it) Sabre 36QBOK. It rides pretty nicely for such a high truck.

I had a 2001 Dodge 2500 4x4 with overload springs, that was high for my first 5th wheel. I ended up putting a 4" lift on the trailer after flipping the axles. I had a 4" lift put on my Crusader to level it out as well. I just bought a '14 3500 and it's an inch taller at the top of the rails than the old truck. The hitch is being installed on Monday, so I should have a good idea how it will match up.

I have no lift and 285's also. The 5er is a flagstaff 8528bhws. I measured another one on dealer lot and it was 4inches lower to underside than the wildcat sitting next to it.

Stupid question?? were both units level.. or close? maybe a different suspension system. Another stupid question... is your pin box maxed out??

Don't have hitch installed yet. Trying to get ahead of problems on delivery day. My new one has torsion axles the one next to it had leafs. Torsion it is (that's the one wife picked). Cannot say they were dead level but were close enough that it makes me question

You'll have to adjust things, pin box or hitch high, when you couple up and load it up. Unloaded will not give you a true look at things. Load it up and check it. I spent a entire weekend adjusting. I didn't need to do much but lower my hitch 2 inches and still had 6 inches between camper and bed rails.
Good luck!!!

This will be our 2nd year with ours after having TTs for 10 years. We love ours. But I was nervous as hell when we took off with ours the first time. It was huge and the 2 lane road home just as well been a single lane!!! But it got better...

I had a Popup for about 10 years then a travel trailer for about 3 years then last year we bought our 5W, it gets easier each time I hook up and go. It will for you also. Just take it slow and easy.
