Domestic fridge

Newbie to posting, but I've been reading for a long time. The power to my 5er went out this summer and the fridge did not switch to gas resulting in a most unpleasant odor as things succumbed to natures rath. Does anyone know where I can find fridge disassembly instructions so I take it apart and clean it properly. Thanks in advance.

The closest thing you're likely to find is the service manual. If you'll search for Dometic refrigerator service manual with your model number, you'll likely find it.

Did you have the propane bottles turned on? Was 12V still on?

The bottles were on and as mentioned the power(120) failed, but 12volts was hooked up and the fridge failed to switch to gas, which may be a situation of its own, but right now I am more concerned with getting rid of the STINK

Pick up some ODOBAN at a big box store. Follow instructions and air out good after cleaning. If you had never used the fridge ( in recent past ) on gas, the line was most likely not purged. The first time you use the fridge on gas ( and after each tank change) you should purge the lines by running the stove for a few minutes, then run fridge on gas. The very first time it may take a few tries as the controller is designed to try a few times to light then go into fail safe mode. You need to turn off ( to reset) then try again.

Thanks Flybob, will look for this but I think I should still take it apart to get the juices that seeped into the different layers. I think the ODOBAN will work well once this is removed. The pilot light was lit before the power went out

I'm not nit-picking, but while searching, you will get better results by spelling the manufacturer correctly. It is Dometic -- not Domestic.

You're probably correct. Auto spell has really made me appear to be illiterate at times.
