Dometic cold

Newbee question. We have a rockwood 2888ws. Fifth wheel. 2020. Turned fridge on electric before we left for 2 hours then went to propane for travel another 3 hours. Still only 50 degrees. It was 90 outside side to day. The freezer seemed to get colder much quicker. Any ideas? Thanks

You might check your thermostat temp sensor and make sure it is in coldest position. mine falls from time to time.

yes, turn it on sooner. it takes a good 10hrs or so for it to cool down to temp.

i also turn my fridge on the day before packing/leaving to get it cold.

You didn't wait long enough.
Most of us turn the fridge on the night before leaving.

i do every time. if you go thru a tunnel you have to stop and turn it off. once you pass thru you can turn it back on.

also, if the camper has been sitting you need to flush the air out of the gas line so the fridge will light. just turn on the stove for a few seconds to purge the gas line.
