Door Security

Hey all. I have a 2015 360IBL Chaparrel. I also have a 3 yr old grandson who is extremely active and still gets up in the middle of the night. At this time he cannot open the RV door from the inside but it wont be long til he figures it out. Has anyone installed anything to help prevent the kids from opening it. Maybe a lock up high (not sure how to do this with the screen door). Or some kind of electronic chime or something. Thanks for any input.

Our sleep walking issues sort of fizzled out. But, here's what we kicked about a while back for similar night-time escapes concerns:

We're having the same problem with our 1 the old, except the little stinker can open both doors. He watches everything you do, then quickly goes off to try it on his own. Last couple trips we had bought a marshmallow roasting kit & snapped off one of the wooded sticks to prop between the screen door & the sliding cover on the screen door. Yes, he's figured that 1 out too, but it worked for a couple weekends. We're looking for a good solution too.

That's a tough one because really there is no place to put a slide lock or a hook because all you have to hook it to is the screen door and there isn't much too them. Any thing you do could also be unsafe if you have to get out quick. Also if you put a hook up high and he gets the outside door open the screen would bend enough to let a 3 yr old out. Only thing I could think of would be a door alarm like this
attached on the inside of the outside door
hope this helps
