Dry Camping

My wife and I are debating stopping some place for a few hours with no hook ups. Really we just need enough juice to open the slide and then close it at night. How long will the battery last? Would it be good overnight as long as we do not power anything up?

Assuming you have a good battery, you will be fine.

It should last about a day and a half. Just won't be able to use microwave or a/c. No major appliances.

You might want to consider a solar panel if you're worried about keeping the batteries charged, though that's of more use when you're in one place for at least a whole day.

If that is all you are doing you will be fine. IF you just use it for the slide and minimal lights you can get 24-48 hours off of one good charge. I have used a battery for min lights and the furnace at night, it made it 18 hours (due to the furnace use).

Will it make a difference if you open the slide while still attached to the TV pigtail?

Keep the Tow Vehicle attached and running when you open and close the slides

Worst case just close the slide manually.
