Dull paint finish..Why???

We are picking up our new Salem Hemisphere 356QB on Friday. I was just wondering if anyone knows why FR went with a duller finish on the exterior over the high gloss. Is there anything I need to know about caring for this finish over the gloss? Not sure if I like it but I've seen it on many units.

Congrats on the new 5er!!! We looked at those before we ordered our last 5er.

I think that different lines just use different materials that help them get to their price point. Not trying to ruffle any feathers, but it seems that the higher gloss is on some of the upper mid level on up classes of rvs and of course the higher end will probably have full body paint. With the non-glossy on the more budget priced units.

It is may be slightly more difficult to maintain but not too much, and you will want to use a wax that doesn't leave a white residue, like Turtle Wax Ice, or similar.

With the Windjammer, the Platinum Package comes with the duller finish, but the more expensive Diamond Package comes with the high gloss finish.
