evo or cruise lite

Hello, everyone I am new here but the family and I are trying to decide between the Salem cruise lite 262BHXL or the evo 2850 they are pretty similar but I am unsure of quality and if the 3-5 thousand dollars is worth it for the evo or if we should save the money and spend it on camp trips thanks for your help!

evo or cruise lite

Other than about 1000 lbs I don't see much difference. We love our Evo 2850 - the interior color is what sold us. Haven't had any major issues- biggest issue has been a pin coming out of the awning and a grey water valve leaking. Biggest complaint is lack of power outlets but I hear that was addressed with the 15's

What are you pulling with?

I will be pulling with a Chevy 2500 duramax 4x4. I appreciate the reply I am really new to this so I didn't know if there was a quality difference or if it was purely cosmetic.

Nice! Shouldn't have any problems pulling either. But I do wonder where the weight difference is from?

Got a chance to look a little harder at the Salem. There are two less windows on the slides and they let in much more light. Also looks as if you lose the rear storage under neath the lower bunk. On our unit, that's where all of our water hoses, sewer stuff, power cords, bbq, chairs, tools, level blocks, surge protector installed- so in short everything important that you need.

Also a heads up on both units, the grey tanks are split. I hear it's like 40 gal for the kitchen and 30 for the bathroom/shower.

Good for you! Glad that you were able to look at each one.

There is a rally coming up in Hemet, ca over Memorial Day weekend and includes a tour of the plant where are evo's were bulit.

I am also trying to put together a rally in October at calico ghost town. Would love to get the "sisters" together. Lol
