Explain to me how to use my EZ Sleep Hide-A-Bed Sofa

Not how to fold it out. I get that. Once it's folded out how should one sleep in it? Mine looks like this.

Stop the video at :13 seconds. Look at the center portion of the Sofa bed, the black part where your butt would be when it's configured as a sofa. There isn't much support there for a sleeper. Am I supposed to use the Hide-A-Bed as a platform to which I place a mattress? Is this suppose to be used with an air mattress? What the?

I think it should have come with a heated air mattress.
