Pretty much exactly as Platokidd said....the Meguiar's cleaner/wax is known as #52, blue bottle...great product. |Goes on easy and comes off easy. Lasts a pretty long time. Our trailer gets it twice a year.....don't put it on the decals as it will dry them out in time. Aerospace 303 is a great product for the decals...best price is from Amazon.

Anybody got an idea for the epdm rubber membrane on top? We have a highly wooded lot, maples, and the roof gets filthy and black spotted. I've tried simple green, some camper store stuff, and not really all that impressed with the results. I did read that bleach is ok, but don't care for that idea as how do you keep it off the sides in runoff?

I have tried many products including Meguiars. The best product I have found is Blackfire Wet Diamond and it is superior to anything I have ever used. I highly recommend you try this. I usually put it on once a year after washing the fiberglass with Dawn or Simple Green. It is also what I use on my vehicles. It is fairly expensive at $40 a bottle but it goes a long way. (Can be purchased at AutoGeeks.com)

Eventually the fiberglass needs a deeper cleaning. The last time I did this I used Collinite 920 (a cleaner with a mild abrasive) then followed that with the Wet Diamond (Both are safe for use on decals). The results were fantastic but it was time consuming. Blackfire also makes a cleaner/polish called Total Polish and Seal that I haven't tried yet (ordered a bottle) but if it's anything close to Wet Diamond it will be great.

As far as the roof membrane, I used a product from the dealer and it worked pretty good. The main thing with cleaning your roof is you don't want to damage it. Bleach or any products with ammonia or petroleum distillates are not good. You might consider covering your RV.

I wash mine after each trip and then back it in the garage wipe it with 303. If I were to ever let it get dirty and nasty then it would most likely stay that way. Wiping it down after every trip prevents that and makes for about a 2 hour job.

Oh yeah. I was the roof first (after every trip) with murphys oil soap.

I realize that, but post #4 also asks for advice on cleaning a dirty epdm roof...so when I saw your post , I jokingly connected it to that post....
