Well after 3 weeks waiting to get my slide toppers ordered and installed, I take final delivery of my trailer tomorrow. Speaking of slide toppers, I'm curious to know from members what their thoughts on slide toppers - PRO or CON

I have them and would not be without. Never had any issues. Good luck with the new unit

Congrats on taking delivery of your new RV! As for the slide toppers - everyone I know that has slides are pretty pleased with their toppers. And just like what igahlhoff said they wouldn't be without them either.

They were the first thing I added to my Roo. If you don't have them, you need to have a method to check and clear the roof of your slides every time you pack up.

Had them installed on our Sabre before we took delivery. Would not have a Fifth without them!

I thought about installing them on our previous and current TTs. But I opted instead for a folding ladder and a $10 mini leaf blower. Takes me five minutes to blow off the slide before leaving a camp site. Plus I take that opportunity to inspect the gaskets and seals and occasionally apply conditioner/sealer. We have yet to have an issue without a topper and are $500 to the good.

We sometimes have our Roo at a site your sitting under pine trees getting sap dropped on it so I felt the slide topper is a necessity to avoid debris, pine needles and sap from collecting on the roof of the slide. If we stayed exclusively at CGs like the wide open KOAs with no trees I might not have had the topper installed.
