Flagstaff 8528rlss VS Crossroads Cruiser cf27rl

Both units are 2008 and we like both of them. Does anyone know if one is better than the other? Both units are around the same price the only thing different is Crossroads offers a 2yr warranty and Forest River offers 1yr.
The hitch wait on the Crossroads is 1450 and Flagstaff is 987. The truck I want to get is a Dodge 1500 4x4 with a 5.8 Hemi. From what I have been reading the 1/2 ton is really not big enough for a fifth wheel. Is anyone out there towing a fifthwheel with a 1500 and if so do you feel you are at your limit when pulling? Thanks for your help.

If you're going to get a 1500 4X4 then you had better go with the Flagstaff. The hitch weight of the Cruiser is more that a 1/2 ton pickup can deal with safely.

Keep in mind that the Flagstaff is designed to be light and used with a 1/2 ton pickup. The Cruiser is better built but you need to get a 3/4 ton pickup for it.

The GVWR of the Flagstaff is just under 8000 pounds. That's just 1500 pounds over the actual weight of the trailer. The Cruiser which which weighs 500 pounds more than the Flagstaff, has a GVWR of well over 11,000 pounds.
