Forest River Extended Warranty
Info for all the new purchasers of Forest River campers. If you want the 2nd year extended warranty you have to act fast. I guess Forest River is really adhering to the 10 day limit on signing up for extended warranty.
Just bought the my camper on Sept 2, less than a week ago, but somehow Forest Rivers system says I bought it on August 22 and that they will not give me the extended warranty. Really makes me feel good about buying from them if they wont extend the buying time period a week for a mistske the dealer or they made. I am guessing they don't think there will last that 2nd year.

Who is telling you this, the dealer or FR?
There are MANY reports here of folks being able to purchase the 2nd year after the 10 day period.
Did you speak with FR directly?

Yes, I talked directly with Forest River.
Also the price has gone up to $250, not that it matters for me now.

I just received my signed two warranty form back from Forest River. I sent in sixty days after purchase with my check for $150. The signed form came right back with no problems. It says right on the form you have ninety days

Can you post a pic or a pdf of the form you have? The one we have here still says 10 days although by many reports that doesn't seem to be strictly enforced.
I'm curious to know if it's been changed.

You may have an older forum. I'd send in as FR repep says good to send in up to 90 day after purchase. A lot of folks here have sent in way after the 10 days and had no issues. Later RJD

I guess the Forest River Warranty department in Indiana does not know there own policies, because they are the ones that told me I only had ten days after purchase in several emails. I am not sure if it is ten business or ten calendar days either, they could not answer that question.
The orginal point of my post was to warn new buyers that the information that they find online or from the dealer may not be true and to verfiy from the manufacure as to what there policies are. I figured I had more than ten days after reading all of the old posts, but unless they are just singling me out for some reason, they are sticking to the ten days.

You can go to the site Bob Byrne suggested in Post #6 for the 90 days from purchase version if you choose. Note the price did not increase. Was always $250 for 5ers and $150 for TT's.
FYI if you didn't realize it, the form/application IS the actual extended warranty in case you were wondering what it covers. You sign and send into FR and they will send it back countersigned or stamped for your records.

I did figure it was the warranty too.
So I went and looked at the site. Where does it say fifth wheels are $250? On the price sheet link it says for Wildcats it is $150. Why did the dealer and Forest River tell me $250?

I guess I should have gone to the FROG site to begin with as Bib Byrne said. I called Danielle Beer there and she straightened me out. Whoever I talked with at FR didnt know what they where talking about. Danielle did say it is 90 days, the form I had was wrong, and for my Wildcat model it is $250.
Good to go! Can't wait for our first full camping trip this weekend!

We have an updated copy of this 2nd Year form (90 days from purchase) in our library here on FRF:
http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...do=file&id=175
Iwritecode has pointed out to the rest of the site team, that we also still have the older 10 day one, which we are going to remove from the library so as to not create confusion.

We bought our Flagstaff in May. I noticed this thread in September. Sent the form in then. They approved it! I am very impressed with their flexibility.
