Fresh Water fill

I am the proud new owner of a 2017 Heritage Glen 312QBUD. I absolutely love my camper but I was a little surprised when I found out the only way to fill the fresh water tank is with a hose. Any other options out there? When we boondock, sometimes I nafta fill from a jug.

Many folks with your same set up will use a 12 volt pump to pump from a jug to the hose connection

x2. I tried to gravity feed through a cut hose and funnel and it worked poorly. inexpensive 12volt pump is the way to go. maybe even a pump that attaches to a cordless drill if you carry one on your rig

It's a shame your dealership didn't explain that to you during your PDI.

Use your Anti-Freeze suction port and run a hose from your outside shower to your City water connection! You will need a fitting to adapt the shower to garden hose! Youroo!!

I learned this from Technorick on the FR3 forum and it works great. Buy a 3/4" to 1/2" nylon male to male union. I paid $1.36 at Menards. The 3/4 end matches a garden faucet; the 1/2 matches a hand held shower head.

Screw the 3/4 into your fresh water tank fill, remove the head from your outside shower and screw the hose onto the 1/2 end. Then go to your winterizing hose, open the valve on the hose and insert the end into your water jug. Turn on the water pump and open the outside water shower. The pump will suck the water out of the jug; push it through the RV plumbing, out the outside shower and into the water tank.

I use this method at the storage lot to push bleach solution into my tank when I sanitize. The day before we leave I pump 3 or 4 gallons into the tank and run the faucets until I can smell some bleach. I let it sit overnight and slosh around on the way, then drain and flush it thoroughly at the campground. It works like a champ.

I don't know what knobs you have at your water docking station, but there should be a siphon setting. Mine is labeled for "sanitize tank". No need to mess with the shower.... Just buy/make a 6' section of garden hose with just the male end. Screw that into the city water inlet, and turn your water control valves to "sanitize", and turn the pump on. It is a little slow, and I do miss the gravity fill, but it works fine.
