I like watching the show. I think the 5ER's have so much more room. My wife and I say every time why don't they buy an RV. I think it's a fad . Maybe I should start building a few. Sure could make some money.

I kept referring to my TT as a "tiny home" until my SIL actually had a tiny home built. She needs a semi to haul it, and while the square footage is similar to my 25' trailer, it seems far less roomy.

Before I got old, I thought having an actual tent instead of just a tarp was luxury camping. I'm enjoying 25' travel trailer.

IMHO, the tiny house thing is a marketing strategy aimed at millineals who think RVS are for old people and they aren't cool or hip.
Kind of how Honda Prius sells the image of being eco-concious.

Show today had a tiny house with a slide! They choose a house with 2 kids(looked to be 4 or 5) climbing a ladder to sleep in a loft. Can you believe it?

Yesterday the "reality" tiny house person bought a 1975 TT instead of tiny house in California. $5,000+ five more to fix it up got her a $10 thousand tt that she liked. Could have done better but it's tv....That's only 10 month;s rent in cities any where not bad even after lot placement
Tiny houses are inspiring to people as alternative to tiny apartments, Some are built to tt riva code but still seem very expensive. Everyone I know who looked then shopped tt market and bought a tt instead.
Great opportunity for TT industry market to cash in on. Although I saw a Salem loftk at rv show that shows someone is watching same shows

Everyone see things differently. That's one reason for so many styles of RV.

These guys must have believed that "A man's house is his Castle"

So, who says you can't take your castle with you?

Of course, when an RV person says that they are "Upside Down" in their house, it's not always financial................

It seems the builders of single and double wide manufactured homes have their panties in a wad....

We watch that show a lot while we're getting ready for bed. It always amazes us at the cost of those things. Many have just a sink, a mini fridge and maybe a hotplate. We're always like, why so much? most all campers have at least a stove with oven, air conditioning, etc. I have no idea what they do for hookups on these things. They never talk about that part.

On the other hand, some of the larger ones are really beautiful and have real appliances and bathrooms. still no mention about hookups though. I guess it's similar to a mobile home.
