Question Furrion camera questions

Hi all

Do you have to be hocked to TV for camera to work? It doesn't work when I'm parked next to my 5er.

Hello. Depending on how it is connected you might need running lights on for it to work. Did you pair the system when it was installed?

mine works either way but my camera is on with the trailer battery not the running lights.. probably not the way I would wire it but that's how they did it.

My Furrion Observation Camera is powered when the TT clearance/marker lights are turned on. For that to happen, the TT must be plugged-in to the TV electrical connection and the TV lights must be turned on.

Hi b and b
Camera was installed at factory, it worked the day I picked it up, went to use it today and it wouldn't work. I was not hooked up just setting next to 5er.

Try the MENU and PAIR. Read the book. Hold "pair" two seconds.

Mine quit after first 200 miles. Won't come back on period.

Again, most of these camera's get their power from the trailer running light circuitry. The running lights on the trailer have to be on, to power the camera.
Typically that is done by plugging your umbilical cord into the tow vehicle and turning on the park/running lights.

If yours is wired this way, sitting beside the trailer (with the umbilical cord not plugged in) would not allow the camera to have power to operate.
