Noticed some delamanation in the form of a couple of Palm size bubbles at the top of the outside of the back of the TT...they would only show up when the temps were up and you could only see them from a certain angle....took it to a local RV repair shop to get looked at and they found water damage from a cracked skylite...forest river gave the go-ahead for repair....they sent the whole rear panel ... not just the skin...it came by freight all crated up...
They replaced all the insulation, inside ceiling paneling, skylight and complete rear wall...No questions asked...I had this all done last winter...it took 2 months to get all the parts and get it put back together....looks factory fresh and I got free indoor storage for the winter while waiting....moral to this story is...
1...Check your skylights...
Big thumbs up to forest river for a no hassle major repair done by my friends at Drakes RV Repair....their all ex Fleetwood TT employees and really know there stuff...I Waz head of maintenance at the plant for 10 years and know all the Drakes staff...Good fellers...

I can honestly say we bought our Cherokee new and have not had one issue with it.I did replace the on board water pump last spring because it did not work but i think that was my fault for not getting it drained good enough and it froze.

I haven't mentioned this 'til now, but decided this is the perfect place to post it;
As stated our "Buffy" is at the dealer for some TLC, bunch of minor things like a screw stripping out in an overhead cabinet, door lock and screen door needs re-alignment.
BUT,
When we pulled in to the dealer's repair facility lot, the landing gear was DEAD, DOA! (we'd forgotten this happened once before....just took a few clicks of the button and it was OK....didn't think anything else about it, and we've been out camping twice since that happened).
What a perfect time for it to go totally out, right there on the dealer's lot. One of the techs brought out a "battery on wheels" thingamuhbob and got 'er done.
Intermittent things are so difficult to diagnose and repair, and since we'd even forgotten about it and had not added it to the list, *and* we were lucky that this happened right there on the lot, not while we were out camping somewhere.
As usual, their response was; no problem, we'll trace it down, could be a fuse, could be a switch, could be the battery, could be a loose wire or even a bad motor. It'll be fixed while it's here, just add it to that list. They also said they'll replace our battery "just in case".
Like hsvbamabob, we have a KILLER dealer!

42 years of camping and 9 trailers.First three were Starcraft pop-ups and they were virtually trouble free. A couple of very minor issues. 1995 Prowler was very good. 2000 Sunline was problem free. 2010 Flagstaff had a couple of issues, one large enough to go back to the factory. Great service getting it fixed. 1989 Mallard Sprinter was junk. 1999 Wildwood wasn't much better. 2006 Holiday Rambler was the trailer from hell.. Dealer had it 8 months out of the 2.5 years we owned it. 1991 Coachman was a very good unit but wife hated the interior, couldn't keep it.
Last weekend I thought I'd have to take back my "no problem but a couple valves." Was at the local state park, first trip of the year, and the breaker in the CG box would trip as soon as I plugged in my cord. Opened all the breakers in the camper and it still did it. Same problem whether 30amp outlet or 15 amp outlet. Did not have an outlet checker like one of these: GB Gardner Bender GFI-3501 GFCI Outlet Tester - Walmart.com. Ended up "boondocking" when I wasn't expecting to.
This weekend, I bought an outlet tester, was in a KOA. Checked the 15 amp outlet right away, checked good, plugged in the 30amp cord and everything worked. Whew!!!
Called the state campground and told them they had a problem.

If you buy an adapter 30 amp male to 110 female, you can plug your circuit tester in and actually check the 30 amp socket.

are things still good? We've gone out in ours only twice but so far so good.
Yep, things are A-OK. She's in for some TLC, small issues...screw stripped out of a cabinet door, etc. and luck was on our side since when we pulled on to the warranty/service lot the landing gear was DOA.
It'd happened once before, but with a couple of repeated clicks to the retract button she fired off and didn't have the problem again.
Very thankful it went totally DOA right there in front of the service guys, as intermittent problems are the dickens to diagnose and fix.
They said it might be a switch, might be a loose connection, might be a motor gone bad, they'd fix it regardless, and since it could be the battery they'll put a new one in.
Have I mentioned that I *adore* our dealer?

We have only had one light bulb go out in one of the sconces over the television....I guess we are in the elite minority of those who have not had ANY issues with our new camper - fingers and toes crossed it stays this way 😉
