Incandsecent bulbs convert about 85% of the power supplied to them into heat, not light. In the modern, energy-sensitive world, this is not generally acceptable. Switching to LEDs is getting less expensive by the month, so I'd suggest a progressive conversion throughout your rig, starting with the most often used light fixtures and working your way down.
As a matter of interest, we found three light fixtures in our used rig (4 years old when we bought it) that showed evidence of significant overheating (melted covers, blackened sockets). We shut those lights off permanently - most were in cupboards - and have gradually replaced almost all the 12V lights with LEDs.
