Installing a Washer/Dry Combo

Went out the other day and tried to help a friend install a washer/dryer combo in front bedroom 5er. We got though the door and down hallway and won't fit though the bedroom door even after removing the door and door trim. Measured the windows and no luck there either. This wasn't a FR product but just goes to show that people that designed this RV should be the ones that live in them and experience the short falls of their designs.

He was upset it didn't fit but didn't get mad till he called and ask if he could return it. The guy on phone ask him what model 5er he had and said "Yep we have had the same problem". Now it 100 miles each way to pick it up and now 100 miles each way to return it.

WoW! 200 miles to get a little work out and 200 more to cool down only to get HOT. I know I would be very hot on that return trip.

The Cougar is ready for a combo W/D. After research my wife decide not to get the w/d. In 2 - 3 years we are thinking class A and will get separate W/D and over the axel which is a preferred location IMO.

In our new 5er the washer and dryer would be over the axles and it is the kitchen and not the bedroom but the place where it would go my wife loves as a pantry. I'm think I'm safe in not adding one besides we not full timers.
