Interesting. I always use the liquid....haven't ever seen the powdered. So far, so good on my black tank.

I was specifically referring to the calgon powder, if they still make it. as in dishwashing powder, not softener. and now that I read the box I see it is no longer environmental friendly and they have gone to sodium carbonate, does the same thing just "green" . Sorry old lab days, I have not kept up with the times.

I bought it at a 'Big Lots' store here in a suburb of New Orleans. Musta gotten kicked out of Canada just like the Cajuns.
