Just bought a Dish Tailgater satellite!!
Hook up question on my 8528 IKWS.
Can satellite be connected to outside terminal or does it need to directly contact to receiver ( ViP 211z ).
Explain step by step. It doesn't say in directions booklet. Thanks[emoji4] [emoji4] [emoji4]

Well that would depend if you have a dedicated input labled sat next to cable input.

If there is a day connection. I use a thin one at one of the Windows to get my signal. So far so good.

Outside I have 2 connectors. 1 labeled cable and the other satellite. In the front I have a single connector with no label.

There should be a connection inside near the tv. Connect that to,the dish box then HDMzI to the tv. Turn everything on and follow the on screen directions. I don't know what tailgater your have or where you are, but my handle I point toward the North and east to set up.

Joeslots, that's an entirely different topic. I therefore suggest that you start a new one.

Same kind of connection. Can not go through cable connection. Sat. won't work. You have to set tv to HDMI then follow set up on the screen. If all else fails, call My Dish. They are great to work with.

Sat. Connection outside with coax. Inside should have a Sat. Coax connection, that goes to the box, then an HDMI connection from the box to the tv. Turn on tv and the box, go to input on tv and search for an HDMI with the Sat set up screen.

If that does not work try right from the tail. to the box then tv. One times the sat on the RV does not work. Not saying yours won't, but be prepared just in case.
