Leaking Toilet

My toilet will hold water. It has a problem of constantly dripping and filling up the bowl then overflowing. Does anyone know what I need to do to fix this problem? Is it just in need of a new seal or is it the foot pedal or something else? Thanks!

Your valve is leaking. You don’t say what make or model your toilet is but valve replacement is an easy diy job. Amazon should have what you need.

If the picture you posted is the model you have, it's an Aqua-Magic residence.
You need part #9 "42049 Water Valve".

You've received good advice but please post the make/model of the toilet.

We are all guessing based on the photo you attached (which looks like a stock internet photo) but do not know for sure what part to advise without the pertinent information.

When asking questions always give as much information as possible including the make/model.
