Leveling

We just purchased a 2019 Columbus CMF298RL and the dealer told us to bring out the slides first then hit auto level on the Lippert 6 point leveling system.
Then bring the system back to original unhitching height and bring slides back in.
This seems counter intuitive.
Does anyone know if this is correct for this model?

Level first, then the slides. I have done both but its easier on the hydraulics not having to push a slide up hill.

You should always unhitch , level then let slides out. Itís not good for slides to be deployed when not level I was always told.

Wrong! Level then slides out. Pull in slides at departure, then off the jacks/hookup.

Exactly...unbelievable stupidity on the part of whoever told them this in the first place.

Must Level

For us with our 2703WS has 3 slides. The two smaller slides are not that sensitive to level but the large slide has the sleep sofa, the fridge and the stove/MW. Our driveway has a slight slope to it and I am always pretty careful. One time though we were packed up and and getting ready to leave. Hitched up and the DW needed to get to the large slide area so I put it out. The side of the slide towards the lower front put a small gouge in the floor.

For me it is very clear, level then put out the large slide. The smaller slides are more forgiving.
