Looking for opinions

We just brought home our 2014 crusader with 4 slide outs. What is everyone's opinion on slide out awnings? Yay or nay?

We got ours put on when we bought it, not sure of the brand but if we get another it will have them too, our neighbors next to us didn't have them and his slides were covered with limbs and such

Definite YAY!!

and there are only two brands, Dometic and Carefree of Colorado. so not a lot of options.

I ordered them on my new 5er that is coming offline today or tomarrow.
I wanted them for the added shade to the top of the slidouts, hopefully, to help it stay cooler in the summer. But debris and water runoff is another thing good about them.

Came with our Flagstaff 5er and with our new CC 38FL, so I've never been without toppers....sure keeps a lot of flotsam and jetsam off the top of the slide. Don't think I'd ever have an RV without

A definite plus when camped in a treed area! Especially in the fall!
