making an outside water spigot
i have a outside shower setup, id like to do away with that and make it like a reg outside spicket to connect my power washer so when im out in the wild i can wash off my machine before loading it up for the ride home. any ideas?

Another option it to add a shut off valve and hose fitting to the cold water low point drain. You can then connect the power washer directly to that. Easier and you preserve the outside shower.

Are you using your fresh water tank. How about a hose fitting on the fresh water drain. I don't think water pressure would be that good out of the shower. Maybe temp a 120 volt water pump at the drain then the pressure washer. Just a thought.

Great thoughts, i never thought about that, now can the power washer (pull) water or does it need a pump to feed it? its just a electric 1600 psi unit.
i really dont care fot the outside shower anyway, thanks guys

That is an interesting idea. I assume you will be powering the pressure washer by a generator since you are out in the wild?
Does this pressure washer have any minimal water volume/pressure requirements that have to be met coming from the RV's water pump and water line size?

i have to look into that, im not sure about the inbound water pressure needed if any, and yes i have a generator so thats not a issue, thanks again, now i gotta look into that.

If you put 2. 1/4 turn ball valves in place of the caps on you will also make any servicing way more convenient

well it says i need 50psi input, with 1.2 gpm. not sure if the onboard pump does that or not,

More then likely not. I think the 120 volt pump would do the trick.

In place of the caps on your low point drains. I have seen some pex type ball valves that have the 1/2 nps threads ,maybe Amazon.

At the risk of being 'low tech'. Ditch the power washer.
Now it depends on how that showerhead is attached. If you can't unscrew it, but off the end near the showerhead. Put a replacement hose end on it, attach a hose if you need length, then attach a hose sprayer that has a 'pistol' spray.
Everything depend on the diameters. So you may need some adapters.

Your low point drains will be under same psi as any other part of water system when pump is on it connected to city water. Unless your using a very high consumption psi water. ( something gas powered ) I believe you will be just fine.

im not gonna ditch it i use it when im at a place with hook ups, if i cant use it when no hook ups i guess she goes home dirty, lol

Karcher, and I'm sure other brands, make electric washers that can be set up with a suction hose. I had one that I pulled water out of a creek with once. It would be easy to adapt to your fresh water drain. I believe the one I had was a model K3.

i have a snap on from menards, it says it need 50psi but ill try it when i get the camper back home. i have gas units but electric is easy to store and alot lighter.

Somehow I see washing before the trip home to be a wasted effort. Most of the crud I find on my TT is from the road. Dust, muc, and dirt, more when it rains, and a nice layer of bugs on the nose along with gobs of grease that fall off trucks ahead. Also can't ignore the bird turds.
I usually wash mine before I park it on my backyard pad.

Now THAT I can relate to. When younger there were four of us that used to take Wednesday's off and hit the trails. We'd stop at the first coin operated car wash on the way home and after we'd cleaned the motorcycles we'd take turns hosing each other off. Needless to say we loved the mud. We always carried large "Bath Blankets" to cover the seats in the truck before climbing in.
We looked like aliens when getting hosed off. Helmets, goggles, protective chest gear, gloves, boots to the knees, etc. Couldn't tell what color anything was until the mud was gone

Sorry fireside, shutoffs on low point drains. Would you run out of water first? 1.2 gpm is probably less than your pump kicks out .may not be an issue. Would give new meaning to navy showers though. You'd still have to come up with right combo of fittings to get to male ght threads for hose
