The Anderson is like having a slider because it sits further back if you have the short box by about 8-10"'s.
I may still go for the Curt, need to talk to some people with Curt Sliders and Anderson's to get a better Idea but leaning towards Anderson, they offer lifetime warranty and are very good with service and questions

Check out the Reese Goosebox. It's worth a look. I love mine.
Benefits;
1. no hitch to install or store or maintain. As I've gotten older, I'm less motivated to be picking up heavy awkward stuff.
2. incorporates the fifth airborne technology with the airbag and dual shock absorbors...makes for a soft ride with no chucking.
3. only maintenance is keeping 40-50 psig in the air bag
4. clean truck bed when not towing (see #1)
5. more room in truck bed when towing as long as "stuff" fits below the bed rails. low profile ice chests, firewood, tools etc... We like to go to flea markets, so DW's junk will usually fit..lol
6. B&W makes a 4" extender that allows for 90 deg turns (or very close to it).
Downside;
1. Can be a little more hassle to hitch up because it's difficult to see the ball in the truck bed. Another person who can watch and provide signals makes this issue a lot easier. I often hitch up by myself with no problems, but I'll usually have to get out to look a time or two. If I can get it lined up properly in the same axis as the truck, it's not hard at all.
Good luck with whatever you decide on.

Will look into this besides on your last item still have to do that when I am using my TT because backup camera is slightly off does not show it perfect so I usually jump out once or twice just to be sure. I was thinking Gooseneck might be similar to Anderson Hitch have to look.
Thanks

I use a Reese Goosebox and love it! I do not need an offset as my fiver is a v nose but the Goosebox is easy to use, smooth, and I have a backup camera in the bed mounted on the roll and lock box and it gets me lined up every time.

I like this idea, always wondered what the true diff was between gooseneck and 5th wheel but I am assuming it is weight for payload and hitch.

I have read that a goose neck will void Lippert frame warranty. I'm just repeating what I have read and have never called lippert or heard of it happening. Has anyone verified that with Lippert if that is a issue or not?

Lippert has announced that with a gooseneck adapter, they will not warranty the frame, but with the Goosebox the warranty will be honored.
As a side note, I recall someone saying that Lippert owns Reese who builds the goosebox.
But they have taken the position that the goosebox does not have the same leverage impact on the frame that a gooseneck adapter does.

When we purchased our Columbus they called the factory (FR). We were told the the Andersen Ultimate hitch also does not void warranty as it is not a goose neck adapter on the trailer. It raises the goose neck ball to the height of a standard 5th wheel hitch. The part that attaches to the king pin only moves the connection a couple inches either forward or back depending on the way you position it.

Oh really good to know, it is the setup I am looking at most, just do not know many people with them using 6&3/4 foot pickup bed, wasn't sure if I would need a slider or not. Calling Anderson this afternoon.

I second the Demco Hitchiker. I have a 2014 F350 6 3/4 bed. I have to turn very tight to get into my driveway and never worry about hitting the back window. Only downside is it is heavy.

Ok ordered Anderson Gooseneck/5th wheel hitch, price and performance I can't imagine why this thing won't perform well, besides it is very light to carry/Install

My only advice is make sure to set the ball high enough. I thought I set mine per the instructions but on a tight turn with pot holes the pin box hit the top part of my truck bed. Other than that it's been perfect for me. I think I can fix the bed easily enough and I adjusted the height of the ball. I haven't taken out since I adjusted so only time will tell.
This was probably my fault so just passing on my "knowledge".

I have the ball as low as it will go so that I have the trailer level. I can see where the pin box will hit the bed rails before the cap of the trailer hits the cab. Not sure I can do much about it because I don't want the trailer to ride nose high.

Anderson is on back order where I was ordering it from? Second choice is a Curt Slider with my Ford factory bed setup? 5th wheel trailers I am looking at are all 10,000 dry and pin between 1900-2100, so just wondering if the Curt Slider would work. I prefer the Anderson but some parts are on back order and not sure it will work well with an F350 Short Box?
