I bought the aluminum and love how easy it is to remove from the truck. Since my camper is parked at a storage place when we aren't using it I just put my Andersen in the toy hauler garage. I bought mine off Amazon.

Andersen works just fine with my Ford 6'9" box. You will be fine with it. I have watched and when turning tight on my setup the king pin will hit the truck box before the front cap will hit the cab.

How high do you guys have yours set? Mine won't hit the cab but the pin box did hit the bed. Here are a few pictures and measurements of how I set mine now to try and avoid further damage.

For me to keep my trailer level I have to have the Andersen set to the lowest it can go. Being that low the pin will hit the bed first. Kind of a bummer but I want the trailer level not nose high.

I'm new to 5th wheels so I have not tried to anything with the king pin. Not sure if it is adjustable or not.

I put a quick "stick on" level on the side of the fifth wheel at the campground when I knew I had it level. I took those pictures and measurements back at my storage area where I knew it was still fairly level. The only thing I didn't look at was to see if the nose rode high or not. I'l have to check that next weekend when I go out again.
