Glad to see some " seasoned " guys out there still getting it. I got a late start at 66, thought I might be a bit old to be tackling this camping thing. But now that some more "mature " people chimed in I feel much better. Thanks Chuck in Va

We are48/50, towing a 2015 Surveyor SP240 RBS with a 2004 F-350 Diesel... Downsized a bit, LOVE the space/storage AND the outdoor kitchen!

I'm intrigued. Why does gljurczyk and yogi bear like the 6.7 diesel? Any background would be appreciated.

The new Ford 6.7 in my experience has excellent power, fuel mileage, etc.
I am not a gear head but pulled our 35 ft Crusader to Florida last winter and it was like nothing behind us.

Now in Colorado from Indiana and power is great when needed, mileage good, going through the mountains tomorrow--looking forward to performance. Windy across Kansas and Colorado truck held its own perfectly.

Love my F-350 6.7 Powerstroke!!!!
11,000 miles so far looking to many more.

Heh Yogi,
Thank you for the info on the truck. Couple more questions: What is the weight of the trailer, What actual MPG are you experiencing, what year is the truck and what was the cost? I'd appreciate it.

Yogi, we stayed at KOA in Grand Junction for two weeks, leaving this morning for home in Indiana. Made 450 miles to Ogallala Neb. I also agree with your thoughts on the 6.7 L powerstroke. I had an '08 6.4 L and this one feels much better. We are pulling a 40' 5th wheel, which weighs almost 19,000 loaded. Our 2012 F-350 DRW pulled thru those mountains with no problem. Just turned 12,000 miles on it and lovin it!
Whereabouts in Indiana are you from?
