Article says the standards are for half ton trucks. I think this is a good thing and will be waiting to see if the EcoBoost is de-rated or kept the same.

I'm thrilled to know they will rate towing capabilities to a standard test...about time...but why not the HD line also???

Just like the NFL agreement to test players for HGH...been 3 years since deal was signed and no testing thus far...nowadays, words are like water, it always finds the lowest point to escape! LOL

Not the same but this reminds me of the osha crane operator standard certification tests that were supposed to be completed by 2013.
The new deadline is 2017.......
I'll also believe it when I see it.
But its a move in the right direction!

Joforbess, no EcoBoost here. I have 3/4 ton diesel pulling a Flagstaff 8528rkws. It is getting old though and I may get a new truck in a few years. With all the comments on here about how well the EcoBoost F150 tows the lite 5ers I have been keeping my eye on anything like this that involves them.
