Newbie mistake

I went to hook up my 2109S Rockwood mini lite to my truck. Raised the power jace about 3 inches and realized my stabilizer bars were still down.

The load was on the rear on the travel trailer.

So far I see nothing bent broken, etc.

What is the likelyhood that I might have bent the travel trailer frame?

Larry

No expert but I would say the likelyhood is small if it was 3 inches and just for a couple minutes. Do all the doors and windows and cabinets drawers still open smoothly?

Not likely. The stabilizers will take a bit more weight than a lot of people give them credit for. Bending the frame is even less likely than bending the stabilizers if both sides were down as the frame is stronger than the jacks. I'd only worry if one corner was left down and you placed an uneven load (twisted) on the frame. If the jacks run all the way up and down with no issues, I'd say you're good.

I agree with raspivey, I've done this before, actually twice, I hate to say. Nothing bent, nothing ajar.

Actually the stabs are not as strong as the frame so you may want to check them for damage. I have a label on the power jack reminding me to check them before I operate the jack. It is one mistake I have not made yet, and hopefully won't.

Instead I let the slide try to eat the bathroom door once. That was when I started using the label maker.
