Next step

Just home from an RV show looking for our next step. I'm more confused now that I was before we went!

Wish list: under 25 feet, ultra light trailer, walk-around Q-bed, slide out with U-shaped dinette, hard-sided shower, solid sheet fiberglass exterior, quality finishes.

We didn't get to see everything we had hoped and I really wanted to compare quality, one brand to the next. There are SO many FR products that we were traversing the show grounds to visit multiple dealers to try to find all the brands.

Any direction for this retirement headed couple?

Here is what we chose . . .

Our tastes and needs sound very much like yours. We chose the Palomino Puma 25' TT by FR. Check it out - we love ours and it seems to be of decent quality. Pulls like a dream.

We went to FIVE RV shows.

We ended up with a Mini Lite 2503S. It has a Murphy bed (not quite a "walkaround" Q-bed, but sort of), a U-dinette (but it's the kitchen that slides out) and a HUGE bathroom (the huge bathroom sold the DW).

See one here:

Yep, Mini Lite 2503S or the sister unit Micro Lite 25KS (mine). A LOT of trailer for the size. Two entry doors, huge bathroom, full length awning. We love the murphy bed: you get a queen bed (rv queen) and a couch. Tons of interior storage too.

To increase walk around bed space, you could remove the side shelves or order one without them. It would decrease exterior storage some, though.

Thank you all! Actually we liked the 2104S a lot except the finishes on the unit we saw I don't think would hold up for more than a few years. We take our two small grandkids with us as often as we can, and the little men are tough on their world We looked at the unit with the Murphy Bed, but it comes with a walk-around bed.

The Micro Lite 21DS was on our list, but if the trailer was there, we never found it.

We clearly need to get on the phone and find a dealer here in Northern California who carries the models we need to see!

So many options, so little time

If you have any questions about the 21DS, feel free to ask. Love mine. Have the Murphy bed option too. Good luck!
