No Warrenty on Inner Slide Seals ??

I have placed a order for a new 8285WS from RVW RV Wholesalers yesterday. But upon receiving the documents to sign there was a clause that stated "TIRES NOT COVERED UNDER FACTORY WARRANTY",
and another clause "INNER slide seals are not covered under factory warranty if found to be damaged and will not be taken into account for a warranty claim". Has anyone ran into this when purchasing from RVW?

I was also told by phone I could purchase a (now get this) RVW warranty for over $2400.00 to cover anything that goes wrong, Including tires.
It said the slide seals are covered under the RVW "PLAN"

I can buy a lot of tires & seals for $2400.00

I ask for the 8285WS to be delivered after the first of FEB 2011. I was told that the Forrest River factory would be closed for most of December.
I placed the order now to take advantage of the $1738.00 discount offered including the extra year warranty. The discounts paid for all the extras I ordered, table and chairs, 15K AC, counter ext, ceiling fan, rear ladder, installation of three Maxxair II covers and my sales tax for Florida!

And Also, I was told the factory price increase after DEC 1 2010 on the 8285WS was $750.00.

Any comments?

Anything found "damaged" is not a factory warranty issue. If you read all factory warranties they only cover "defects" in material and workmanship. Damage is always excluded. I wouldn't worry about that.

Before I paid $2400 for a warranty, I'd want my legal department to read it and make sure it really covered everything for some great length of time. You can fix a lot of stuff for $2400. Delamination is about the only thing I can think of that'd require that much money and it'd have to require replacement of a wall or end to cost that much.
