Pairing Furrion rear camera -Help

I have a 2018 Cardinal 3525sox with the factory installed rear camera. I cannot get it to pair. Read the instructions and following exactly. Any help? I’m plugged into home right now, does it require being plugged into the truck 7-way? Thanks in advance!!

On mine, the camera is not on unless the running lights are on. So, yes, you probably need to be hitched with the tow vehicle lights on.

Plug in the trailer, turn on the lights and it should be up and running in a few seconds.

If that doesn't work, they may have wired it for reverse only so put your vehicle in reverse and see if that activates it.

What was in my instructions was plug in vehicle with plug supplied.
Then after pairing in the vehicle mount on trailer.

Well no go still but couldn’t do the reverse test. Plugging into to truck didn’t work. Still no pairing. Will try reverse next time. I wish there was a way to at least tell if the camera is getting power. No lights on it or anything to let you know. Frustrating as it will be really nice to have to help backup a 40 footer. Will post back in a few weeks during our next trip. Thanks again everyone

Plug in and turn on the headlights to get power to the camera. FR wires them that way.

Only a couple of screws hold the unit to the camper. I would remove and see if camera is plug in. If so then use a volt meter check to see if its getting power. Later RJD

Furrion camera won't get signal in 2019 Silverado High Country with Advanced Trailer package due to power is from PWM (Pulse Width Modulators ) NOT 12V power supply.
Anyone come up with way to power it up with 12V?

I have a 2016 2500HD. It doesn't have PWM. But I don't think that should matter. After you connect your trailer to the truck turn on the head lights so that you can see your running lights. You should be able to pair. However, my instructions did say pair while having camera in vehicle for the first time. On my power cord there was plug for powering up the camera.
Good luck.

I have been told by Chevy Dealer H & H Chevrolet that because the power to plug is PWM it is not compatible to the Furrion camera which needs the plug power source to be 12V. It has to do with the new Advance Trailer Package. We had a new 2019 loner truck while they were working on ours. It did not have Advanced Trailer Package and the camera worked perfectly. Also Leach Camper contacted Furrion and they said they are aware of this problem, working on issue but unknown when they will know solution. Very frustrating to pay $800 for new Furrion Rear & Side Cameras and now we can't use in a New Truck!!

Wow, who’d a thunk it, new fangled power from truck makes the camera inop!?! My truck is a 2017 F350 dually with the ultimate trailer camera package (6 cameras) and I’ll bet it has that same PWM. I’ve tried reverse but have not switched on headlights. I’ll try that next weekend. If that doesn’t work I guess I wait until Furrion comes out with a fix. Very frustrating.

Finally got Furrion Camera working in 2019 Silverado. We had a switch directly to RV 12v Battery installed. The running lights will be on too. That is okay because it reminds us to turn it off. So now Monitor in truck gets signal. Bonus is we can use monitor in camper and use it for security purposes.
Furrion is aware of power supply in truck being Pulse Width Modulator will not allow Furrion Camera to power on & say they are working on solution. Well direct wiring was our solution to be able to use NOW. Paid apx $800 for Rear & 2 Side Furrion Cameras!

I'm having same problem w/ new 2019 GMC Denali pickup w/ advanced trailing package. Could you please share a little more detail about how you hooked up to the 12V battery? Thanks

Uncle Bud,
We had Leach Camper do the switch installation. It is right next to batteries mounted to tow bar frame. That is where we bought the camera. They too had never seen this before.. Happy Campers again.
