Picked up our new Cedar Creek 34Ik

Just picked up our 2020 cedar creek 34IK, PDI went very well took about 1 1/2 hour found a few minor thing that we got taken care of. This will be my first 5th wheel it is definitely different backing up compared to the pull behind we traded in. Any suggestions on towing a 5th wheel is welcome,Taking first trip on Friday.Click image for larger version

Congrats nice looking rig, learn to swing wider on turns as the camper will track about 6" more to the inside of the turn. Backing will come in time, don't rush backing up, take your time to learn how it will track, I always watch my tires once I know there is plenty of clearance around the back.

Practice, practice backing up.

You will get there. Our CC is 37í long.

I discovered that to back into a 90 degree spot I pass the opening by 3 feet. 3 feet from the curb on the drivers side.

Try always to back to the left so you can see.

After the first year backing in is getting easier.

DW and I use the phone for directions.

Have fun.

Remember that is a tall rig. Trees, canopies and underpasses are your enemy. Stick with the truck stops unless you know you can get in and out of a smaller station. I learned the hard way.
