Portable pressure washer

Anyone carry one of the small electric pressure washers with them. Whenever I get to our destination the 5th wheel cap is covered with bugs, and would like to be able to clean off.

Most campgrounds won't let you wash your rig in the CG. While you might get away with hosing your front cap, I'm guessing running a pressure washer might be frowned upon.

The CG we stayed at last has a sign in the driveway that said No trailer washing allowed whatsoever.

I would rather stop at a carwash and have it done or DIY.

Thanks for the responses, I hadn't thought about campground rules prohibiting washing it. Guessvi will just live with the bugs until I get back home. More time for tasty cold beverages I guess.

I stopped in a rest area last year out of Bliss, Id. there was a big MH in the lot.
Guy had a bucket with soapy water and a long handled brush, the MH had a near the front side storage wit a hose reel.

This guy set out to wash the front end of the MH right where he was parked,

This is just an observation not a suggestion as some states may frown on this.

Just to answer your original question....I had one of those small portable pressure washers...a Karcher....my neighbor also had one....are you seeing a common thread here....word "had"...both of ours ended up in the garbage after about 1 season....they are not very good...pressure not great, but more importantly water volume is insufficient...then the motors are of poor quality. I will never own one again...switched to a gas powered pressure washer and love it...just that its not portable like what you are looking for.

Thanks for the heads up Rick, that was a concern I had with the small electric ones. I have my gas powered one for home use and have decided carrying one in the camper probably not a good idea. Will just look for truck washes along the way.

Wax the heck out of the cone and then use something like dryer sheets to wipe the bugs off.

Liberal coating of wax before departure may help too at least for long trips. Wonder when they figure out a Teflon production for rigs.
