Question Propane Tank Size

I have a question about Propane Tanks. How do you know if you have 20 or 30 pound tanks. I can find nothing in my FR owners manual or on the RV itself.

20 pound tanks are the small ones you find on a gas grill or those swap tank places at gas stations

The 30 pound tanks are same shape but 50% taller

A 20LB tank is 18" high and has a 12.5" diameter
A 30 LB tank is 24" high and 12.5 " dia.
Also the size is stamped into the tank neck .

wana65stang has you on the right road. You may also want to check out this previous thread for more information on checking your cylinders by tare weight, refilling, etc.
