I read somewhere that they went bankrupt. Is this true? Does anyone know who owns the company now? Just curious....just got a 1977 prowler for free and fixing it up.
Prowler was gobbled up by Fleetwood industries years ago. Fleetwood is basically gone. Unless you need specific body parts all of the appliances are generic and available from almost any RV parts store. For body parts start using Google for RV wrecking yards, etc.
Prowler is sort of back. The nameplate was bought by Heartland RV (which has now been gobbled up by Thor). So even though you will see them around...they only bought the name plate, not the tooling or engineering.
So the short answer is yes. Prowler went bankrupt and is no more. Makes parts a little more challenging, but surplus stores should have something that would work.
