Retired Camper ?

We have trailer camped in our Surveyor for 8 years now, two years ago we retired and I thought we would hit the road but for some reason we camp less now than we did when we both worked. Our health is good, we have the resources to go but we don't. The only thing I can figure is because of the stress of the jobs we needed that time away more. Have you guys experienced this?

i'm at the other end of the spectrum. counting down days till I can retire and be gone, selling everything and going full time without a worry in the world.

Did you find something else in retirement that you enjoy more than camping with your Surveyor?

We're 2+ yrs into our retirement and the grand plan on seeing the country is still on hold. Aging parents and the local ties have kept us close to home. I believe we too have put in less time camping than when we both worked. Hasn't stopped me from planning a get away tho

I retired before DW and could not wit till she did so we could camp anytime besides just weekends. We do 4 or 5 trips a year and also some local camping. Yep I like coming home and enjoy working in the yard and playing with my hobby. Later RJD

I retired last year, the wife is still working. We camped less in our Hybrid trailer since then. I think it was a stress reliever for me. So when we returned from our trip last June we sold our 233T. We missed it and started looking for a new TT. We bought a new 30' TT in August. We only used twice on short trips but the excitement returned. Since the wife is still working it becomes her stress reliever and I have plenty of time to get it ready to go. Setting up the hybrid was getting to be tiresome and I think that was causing stress. So looking forward to better weather to start getting out there. Also, we are planning on going out of state with the new TT as we don't have to worry about setting it up as we did with the hybrid trailer.

Retired Camper ?

I retired and I never missed my job and whatís more I never think about it. We would go more but I have fell head over heels in love with my great granddaughter. We are on a short trip right now, have granddaughter for a few days now. I am so lazy I wouldnít work in a pie factory tasting every tenth pie. I get up in the morning with nothing to do and at the end of the day if I have some of that nothing to do left Iím happy
