Looking to trade in made 2012 fbrs micro lite for a Rockwood 2019 2512S is that a good idea or not.Taking suggestion Thanks

A good idea for the folks selling these trailers for sure. 2019 trailer will be last year's model in 60 to 90 days.

The owner always loses on a trade in.
I've always sold my vehicles myself, rather than doing a trade in.
I made double the money, selling my last trailer, than what the dealer offered on trade in.

Depending on the value of the trailer you are getting rid of sometimes it's better to trade it in and literally be done with it. Private sales are OK as long as you are able to make it clear you are selling it AS IS and there's no warranty, etc.

I sold a car once and the purchaser bugged me for almost a year over little things he didn't notice when he bought it.

Now, I keep vehicles until I've squeezed every dollar of value out of them. Last car I got rid of was 25 years old. Current tow vehicle is 15 years old.

Previous travel trailer was 22 years old when I got rid of it.

Maintenance is a wonderful thing. Amazing how long things last when you take care of them.

I was going to do it last yr and didnt when I talk they had offer me 10,000 for my if I bought a new one. So now it still in good shape and owe less and 2500. If they ive me the same that would give me about 7500-00 for a down payment

i would ask the dealer what they are going to give you. Then you can determine if its worth the time or not

When we sold our 2015 21FBRS, the dealer made us an offer, we put it on craigslist and sold for more than 2 grand more than they offered. We probably could have gotten more, but we were trying to get the deal closed and get the new trailer

When I bought I paid 20,000 the new one cost 26,000.and my is loaded.what would you pay for it there is no damage

The title of your thread is Rockwood or Flagstaff.

Except for price it really doesn't matter which one you get. They come off the same assembly line and models from each brand share the same floor plan. Different dealers in the same area don't want to sell the same brand, FR gets a larger market share by having one dealer sell Flagstaff and another sell Rockwood.

For instance, I have a bumper pull Flagstaff 832IKBS Classic Super Lite, Rockwood has the 8329SS Signature Ultra Lite with the exact same floorplan. The same floorplan is shared with some 5th wheels from both brands.

I used KBB.com with my 2011 Silverado and got upper middle price as a trade on a new 2018. $13k when I was expecting no more than $11k with 68k+ miles sounded good to me so I bit the bullet.

I was surprised when I went to the Hershey RV show and saw the trailer I wanted in both Rockwood and Flagstaff models was EXACTLY the same.

Shouldn't be surprised once you're around RVs a while, a standard industry practice. They're the same trailer built by the same workforce in the same factory. Branded differently to give dealers "exclusive" sales territories. Flagstaff dealer on one side of town and Rockwood on the other. Hermaphrodite versions come with Flagstaff graphics on one side and Rockwood graphics on the other.

Honestly, i wouldn't pay anything for it because it doesn't work for me any longer. There are many resources on the Web to figure out sales price including NADA, RVtrader and some Facebook pages as well
