Wow. Maybe it's time to sell your trailer. Do you always fret over things that most likely won't happen? Life is way too short. Looks like a lack of research on your part is the main issue. If you wanted a 15,000# trailer with 3/4 plywood all around, you bought the wrong brand.

I have no issues with my TT and I assume the vast majority feel the same way.

To the OP, only the decals and upholstery are different on Rockwoods and Flagstaffs.

And so it begins again

Lets move on folks or move back to the OP's original question.

Again, i appreciate the responses. i was attracted to both Rockwood and Flagstaff so if colours and decals are the main difference, it makes it easier to choose. Having said that I'm still not sure if the next TT will be a lightweight or not.
I find the Forest River website confusing when it comes to light weight or conventional TT.
Which forest river travel trailer is the best in your opinion? Lets just say money on not a concern. One can dream!

I bought a flagstaff back in 2010, after comparing the same model in the rockwood line. As everyone stated here (and both dealers acknowledged at the time), the only differences are the outside color schemes. stickers, some interior colors too.

I actually liked one of the interior flagstaff colors better.......but absolutely loved the $4000 dollar better price the flagstaff dealer gave me over the rockwood dealer.

I would compare both lines if you have two (or more) dealers nearby and see what's the best deal you can get.........but don't let either dealer snow you and tell you theirs is better than the other.

Our choice of a Rockwood over a Flagstaff cane down to one thing; which brand the "winning" dealer sold. We got quotes from the two ig internet sellers and then shopped them around to 4 local dealers. The dealer we went with beat their price and they sell rockwood. Could have gone either way.

Thats easy.

Aviator Floorplans

But we will be keeping our V-Lite for as long as we care to travel I believe and it may even end up on a seasonal lot at a lake someday with a big old power boat beside it.

But they are so much more pretty

That might be what I will save for when I retire and go mobile. Only 34 years to go!! Heck, by then they will probably be made out of carbon fiber and aluminum extruded reinforcements with some space age, no friction, ceramic like exteriors and the TV will be nuclear fusion powered!

...That is if we make it past 12-21-12

There are just two of us and don't want to change TV or don't nescessarly need too much bigger. Maybe a couple of feet (I was warned about the toofootitis!)
And larger windows. So if we don't need too much bigger, I'd like to put the money on quality and options/extra rather than paying extra for lightweight unit.
So far, prettynimpressed with the Shasta, no problem ( except one speaker) and it tows great but it sleeps 4 and I'm not too happy about having sister in law having to sleep on the dinette table. Pita is you ask me, it rained most of our 5 days camping so it was not so pleasant not having a dinette.

Sister in law? I thought you said it was just the two of you? That is why our TT sleeps exactly......two. If someone wants to come camping with us, there is plenty of room to put up a tent on our site. LOL.

There are just 2 of us and the megacab is just the right size as is the 34 1/2 ft trailer that sleeps 2 and 4 in a pinch.
