There are a couple of mods I know of to help quiet pumps.

I did these to my old trailer, and it cut the racket/vibration in half:

I removed the mounting bolts, and remounted the pump to the floor with clear plastic tubing under the bolts...to act as a cushion. It stopped a lot of vibration. Cushioning the pump/floor contact area with any soft/flexible material would probably help.

I also added some padding between the plastic water lines in the area to stop them from chattering.

I then used styrofoam insulation to sound proof the area surrounding the pump.

Another mod that people swear by is lengthening the water line into a longer coil. Not sure on the theory of it, however.

Other folks add a surge tank to keep the pump from kicking on so often, and it adds a little extra water capacity to your trailer.

You can also buy much quieter aftermarket pumps.

Mine is pretty quiet. Just a slight hum is all that I can hear. It's located in the rear bunk house area and even with the panel off, it's pretty quiet. Guess I got a good one.

You can do as the JollyMon said, or just remove it from the wall or floor, which ever it is mounted to, and place a piece of any type rubber, between the pump's (mount surface) and the area it is mounted to. The rubber material will absorb most of the sound from the pump. If this doesn't quite it, I would look into one of the better grade and much more silent pumps. Luck to ya, and keep on RVing.

I thought about this:

Get some plywood and some heavy closed cell foam. Remove the pump from the floor. Cut the foam to fit the bottom of the box the pump was in. Cut the plywood about 1/2 shorter than the box all around, mount the pump to that and set it on the foam.

The pump is now isolated from the trailer, except for the waterlines. Replace those with the really flexible kind, and isolate them with foam from touching the sides of the pump box. A little dab of auto uphostery glue might be helpful.

I think the "floating on foam pump" should quiet right down. And closed cell foam glued to the walls of the box makes a much better sound absorber than styrofoam.
