Fortunately, this one is only for the RV and the truck (and is only about 2 months old - give it time). We have another 30x40 that is packed!

I do have the option to go to a wider door, it's the price that kills me. Go big or regret it down the road when I rip off an awning, or take out the door jamb! Gonna try to swing a 14x14! Didn't think of the 18" clearance when trying to back in a 30' tt.

The difference in cost for a 14' x 14' as opposed to a 12' x 14' is not that much. Go with the 14 x 14 or you'll regret it down the road. If you go with the Hi-Lift doors you won't have any clearance issue at all. Here's a couple of pics of our new 40 x 50 outbuilding. I'm on 3 1/2 acres so I put a 14' x 14' door on the back so I can pull the fiver straight through the building and turn around in the back of the property and pull in through the back. You can see the hi-lift door track on the inside pic. I've got a front A/C on our fiver and my height is 13' 4".

Was at an RV park in CO next to a family with a brand new 5th wheel. He built a barn for the unit based on specs in the trailer brochure. Trailer was too tall to fit in the door!!! For a short term fix he dug out tracks in the concrete to gain the 3" he needed.

Measure twice by getting on the RV roof. My Wildcat measures 13'7" at the front A/C.

I have a 40X50 shop with 20X14 sliding doors. If you dont go larger than the 12X14 you will be very sorry. I would suggest 14X14 or 16X14 as a minium

Well the price isn't going to kill me, it's not insulated so it was only 300-400 more than the 12x14

When I picked up my new Flagstaff 8528IKWF I asked the dealer for the max height and he said 12'-6". Got it home, took a level up to roof and measured the highest point, 13'-4" at the top of highest MAXAIR vent. "Oh, you meant how high is it with all the stuff on top. Why didn't you say so". Sheeesh!

ID:	128334this is what I ended up with. I did go 12'x14' and sure don't regret it. Can't believe how small our Grey Wolf looks inside. Shed looked small while framing then it got big once I put all our stuff in it. I was able to reuse an old trolley operator scavenged off one of my job sites for the big door, save over a grand I'm sure.

Funny thing is I ended up with more space than I thought, wife asked if I'd do RV storage in it but that would cut down on room for all the crap I'll end up bringing home and stuffing in the shed

Haters will hate. I don't know what i am griping about... I have a 80% completed Steelmaster A-style building 30 x 60 x 16'(center) that I have junk in. What a shame. What a shame.
