RV Show

Well... I said I wouldnt go to the annual show / sale that they have here, but I was bored this weekend and went anyway. The good news for me is that I didnt find a whole lot that caught my eye. Mind you the new Primetime Crusader is pretty nice (298BHD)... and for something different, Open Range has some 5th's with a deck off the side which was pretty cool. One thing I noticed is that lots of manufacturers are going with the slam or bus type latches on the external storage doors...I'm definately going to look into retrofitting some of those

I have to agree about the slam latches. We were at an RV show in January and we saw a number of units with those latches. I wish my Wildcat had those. I did see a Laredo that I fell in love with at the show but the DW couldn't be talked into it.

The cost seems prohibitive, but I sure would like to have 6 of them.

Well, I made the mistake of going to the RV show "just to see whats New" and we ended up ordering up a Crusader. I also like the slam latch doors and how well built the overall trailer seemed to be. I have owned trailers for the last 17yrs with my current being a Fleetwood 29bhs. I knew what areas to look for potential problems and i was happy with what I saw. I am hoping that when my trailer arrives I will be happy with its condition. I will be doing a thorough inspection before I ever leave the lot!! On another note, I am amazed how much mark up there are in new trailers. It looks like a person would need to start negotiations at 50% of msrp.
