RV Wash Care

So...this is the first time I washed the TT which has aluminum siding and some of the grey streaks from dirt and I guess residue from the roof, rain etc came off and some did not. I used regular car wash. Im guessing there are probably products better designed for this. Can anyone recommend some?

We used a mix of simple green, turtle wax car wash liquid and bleach - equal parts mixed in one of those pump up garden sprayers - start on roof and work way off to sides - keep camper wet and do not let it dry before rinsing - amazinf results on roof!! We use a soft brush on a telescoping pole

We used Awesome cleaner for our siding. It can be found at the Dollar Store and makes quick work of those black streaks...

Do NOT use any product containing petroleum distillates on the roof.

RV Wash Care

We used a mild mix of all purpose siding cleaner sold at Home Depot. My mom used that awesome cleaner and it took the paint off their aluminum.

Automotive wax works well on black streaks, too. For black streak prevention in the future, keep the roof clean. I wash it every time I wash the camper.

I just read an article about what causes the black and gray streaks. That is the roof product itself that creates that. it's like a layer (might be a bad term) but the article want on to say that it is common and after a while it will stop when it does you then have to recoat the roof. Most common reason they stated was a dirty roof will deteriorate faster then a clean roof. I for got what they said which was the bad one gray or black. I found it on the internet on rubber or pto roof maintenance. The west marine black streak remover works well on both.

I use Korkay. Spray on wipe off. Best I've seen so far.

To help keep the black streaks off use rain gutter extenders.

Awesome is a great cleaner BUT make sure you dilute it AND DO NOT let it dry on metal. It will leave a permanent stain.

I have fiberglass siding and a little extra elbow grease will get the rest off.
