short bed, tool box, 5er

I have a crossover tool box that I haven't put back in since I got the Crusader. My trailer rides around 6-7" above the rail and the tool box is about 4" above the rail. I think I'll be o.k., am I missing anything?

You may be missing something, but you probably won't miss the tool box in a sharp turn, but after the turn you might be missing your toolbox. lol

In all seriousness, you are going to have to watch it very carefully in a turn. I expect you are going to have problems. I have 6" of clearance and have hit my bed rails on several occasions.

Just don't go over any bumps when making a turn...5er will meet tool box and it may leave a mark.

If you need a toolbox, get one of those that are flush with the top of the truck box. Buying one is a lot cheaper than fixing your camper. You WILL hit, guaranteed.

Keep the short bed. I have a TransferFlow 30-gallon refueling tank/toolbox
combination. Great product!

I like xfer tank idea...just couldn't afford 2 fill it. LOL!!!
I'm putting the toolbox and tonneau cover that works with the toolbox on craigslist and start looking for either a low profile or in bed box.
