Bobs Buttwipes

We keep Bobs Buttwipes in our 5th wheel and use them for personal use and if there are any marks in the bowl I use a second one to wipe down the bowl. The wife won’t but I am not too proud.

QUOTE=Cmmjmoore;2036383]This is kind of embarrassing and not sure how to phrase it. I have a problem with "trails" in the toilet after its flushed. [emoji372]
It takes several flushes to get it clean or I have to get the bowl brush and toilet cleaner out after every time I take care of business. I realize this wouldn't be a problem if the toilet was porcelain. I even tried waxing the bowl but that only last a couple of days. Any suggestion relevant to the described problem, PLEASE! Sorry no pictures. [emoji43][/QUOTE]

I was JUST going to say that - install a sprayer! Our Sunseeker came with one & it's great; I can't imagine them being very expensive?

This is what I do. I push my foot on the flusher lightly to put water in bowl so it doesn't open the drain.

Skid marks

I’m a retired nurse. One thing that will remove all bodily fluids and skid marks is a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide . Keep one handy beside your rv toilet.use full strength ,don’t dilute.Works great on blood stains also.

As I said a couple pages back, clean the bowl very goof, when you are sure it is completly dry, spray PLEDGE furniture polish and rub it in with a soft rag, maybe redo a second time; very little, if anything will stick..

I lay paper down before I go and that helps.

First off WD40 is not made with petroleum products, it is made with fish oil. It won't hurt the plastic if you keep a can near the "can", lol, for those moments. I agree that the easiest is to make sure there is enough water to cover the area where the skidders occur. Also, agree with Pledging the bowl, only I would use Dollar Store knock-offs, which I use for spot waxing on the outside of my class A. To take that step one step further, use a good polymer wax, for more slip, or, try Mop n Glo which is what I use on my fiberglass roof. Good Luck and chime in with your results.

We keep a spray bottle with water by toilet and spray any clingons off. Works great and doesn't require more wipes or touching the bowl.

I've been in RVs my entire life. I had no idea that this was even a problem, much less that there were so many 'solutions'!!!! Waxing your toilet.... Who knew! LOL.......

I got a Columbia Stingray bicycle with green tires for my 10th. birthday (1970 for those interested)...

For the life of me, I couldn't figure out why the skid marks on the sidewalk were green.

Until that tire had to be replaced...with a black tire!

This is not rocket science people! Read your toilet manuals. Put a SMALL amount of water in the bowl. Lay paper in a cross in the bowl. Flush when done.

WD40 is not fish oil, that’s an old myth. The formula is secret but always test what you will be using it on.

Having worked in the black water business (a 1,000,000 Gallon Per Day) facility, there are a few things I have learned;
1. You will get sprayed head to toe once in a while, especially if a temporary by-pass hose breaks. That event will get you out of having to attend a meeting with the boss and board of directors
1a. Keep a paper suit in the truck and make sure all sewer trucks havevinyl seats and rubber floormats.
2. I no longer like vegetable soup.
3. Clogs happen and HAVE to be cleared, no matter what.
4. If poop smells, it is old poop.
5. If there is a stain on my toilet, reach in and clean it off.
6.if boondocking, using less water for any tank is the best choice.
7. A bar of soap is a very handy tool, better than hand sanitizer for the first pass.
8. Hepatitus shots are worth the money, but, if it is only your toilet track, you already have those zoological critters in your body.
9. Penut butter makes things sticky.

Look away now!

I've noticed a trend on this Forum

Nothing quite like a discussion on topics related to the "potty" to get a good long thread going.

Black tank draining, cleaning, chemicals, and toilet paper seem to be very popular topics.

When I saw the thread title I, like others, thought "tires".

As for the solution. When I served in Germany all the barracks toilets in my building had no water in the bowl, such as it was. One made their deposit on a flat porcelain surface (with no chance of a splash) and when finished you merely flushed. Whatever you left on the flat surface was merely swept by the water used to flush into a large opening at the front of the toilet. A "Biffy Brush" was often kept handy to combat skid marks.

I find that all I need to do to minimize "leftovers" is to put some water back in the bowl and let it soak until next time it's needed. By then all is dissolved and bowl is more presentable.

As someone else said, there is a lid and somehow I think that it's main purpose is to conceal.

Potty On

Eight pages and counting. I'll bet the O.P. wasn't expecting that!
