Slide on apex 288 BHS

Hey there, I'm looking at going out and checking on our trailer and maybe opening up the slide while I put some things in it. We live in Ontario and obviously we have had some weather if there is no snow present I want to open up the slide. My question is if I bring the battery out and hook it up will that power the slide to open or do I need to plug in the trailer to open thevslide?

You should just need the battery.

Anything that I should be looking for before opening it?

Make sure it is above freezing, so no ice. Check for anything that could prevent slide from opening inside and outside. If you have slide locks, remove them. Hook up battery properly and open slide.
