Slides & Stabilizers

Quick question, is it necessary to put stabilizer jacks down when putting slide out for short amount of time? Like a cpl hours to pack up TT for a trip?

It only takes 30 seconds so I always put mine down first. Level, then stabilizers down, then slides out.

I put the stabs down to keep the bounce down, my 225 will make it shake when I am moving stuff in or out.

We are new to fifth wheel camping - just bought a 2014 Flagstaff. There is A LOT of bounce even with rear stabilizing jacks down. What other stabilizing jacks do you use to prevent so much movement.

I put the stabilizers down before moving slides and have installed the steady fast system which has eliminated the movement.

Get a stabilizing kit installed. I just did on mine and it took 99% of the movement out. Before if my son rolled over in bed at night I thought the camper was rolling away in the front. I have actually gotten up in the night to check on them since we installed the stabilizers because I don't feel it any more. I used the JT strong arm kit.

I've used Jt's and the Steadyfast system. I prefer the Steadyfast system. Now I have Level Up so we will see if that helps the new 42' 5er.

My BBW causes shake and bounce in my Cruiser lite when she walks around. 'Course when she walks other things bounce too. Comforting 😀 . Would never consider "stabilizing".
